Cronulla Surf Life Saving Club nurture our young surf lifesavers... Ensuring they are safe, each age group progresses through levels of surf education and will be given a certificate from SLSA at the completion of each award.

Cronulla's junior activities group (JAG) caters for more than 500 young surf lifesavers. Commonly known as ‘nippers’, these members learn all there is to know about staying safe at the beach.

They learn about:

• Surf safety and awareness, including how to identify rips
• Surf sports skills, such as how to catch a wave when swimming
• Personal development and leadership skills, including teamwork and improving self confidence.
